Mornie Utulie, Mornie Alantie // Celeborn (Cosplay)

Photo was taken during the Tolkien Fantasy Festival, where I was one of the hosts/performers, playing the role of Celeborn by a brilliant young photographer I know and cherish. I reworked it into more fitting ambiance that has huge meaning for me.

At Sunday, May 20, 2012, hours before the festival, I lost my beloved cat, Hades. I woke up early in the morning to find his lifeless body in the street in front of my home, and called my father to come help me take him home, as I couldn't bring myself to take him in my arms.

It took a lots of guts to finally do it, and I just couldn't wait for those 15 minutes before my father's arrival - Hades was taken back home and put in the garden where he spent his childhood.

When my father finally arrived and went on with the preparations for Hades' funeral, he found a baby falcon and brought it in the house. Baby was calm until it saw me. He started squawking, not taking his eyes off of me even for a second. The same way Hades did when I found him about a year ago. My dad and I found his nest behind my garden and took him back. He was back where he belongs, alive and well. But I wasn't. There was a deeper meaning behind it, and I'm quite sure Hades was giving me a message through that baby falcon.

He was buried the same night, after the festival, with his toys, his food bowl and some mementos of me and our time spent together.

And I decided to use the photo that represents the hardest time I spent having to be happy when my heart was weeping, and to symbolize this event for me and Hades.

I got your message, baby, I wont you to know that. I hope you're one happy kitty like you were since the day we met, and that you'll be waiting for me when my time comes.

Love you, Hades. Now and forever.
